Who can apply for the MBA?

Students, who have completed or are expecting to complete his/ her minimum three- year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level from any discipline with at least a second division score or 2.0 CGPA on a scale of 4.0 from the universities recognized by Pokhara University, can apply for the MBA admission procedure.

What is the admission time for the MBA?

Every year there are two admission sessions, Fall (August intake) and Spring (March intake)  session.  However, students can apply for admission throughout the year.

What is the admission procedure for the MBA?

The application form must be filled and submitted to the college admission office. The applicant should attend and pass the Pokhara University Management Admission Test (PUMAT). The successful candidates of the PUMAT will face a selection interview.

What are the documents required for admission?

The required documents are: SLC Mark Sheet and Certificate, Intermediate/+2 transcript and Certificate, Bachelor’s degree transcript and Certificate,  Original Migration Certificate, 2 Passport photographs, and other required documents which are necessary for the University.

Can jobholders also get admission to the MBA program?

The MBA is a full-time course that needs rigorous input. However,  job holders are also encouraged to apply.

Are there any scholarships for the needy students?

Yes. The university provides scholarships for applicants. Please, refer to the website of Pokhara University (www.pu.edu.np).
The college also provides scholarships on the basis of merit to all the students.Moreover, the college provides Alumni scholarships also.

What is dual faculty mode in the MBA teaching-learning?

The Dual Faculty Mode of teaching-learning (a healthy amalgam of Regular national and international faculty and industry practitioners ) is an initiation by our college for building a strong partnership between Academia and Industry. This mode of teaching will bridge the gap between Academia and Industry practices. It is a mix of national and international faculty members, market experts, and practitioners.

What are the internship opportunities for MBA students?

We provide MBA students with national and international internship opportunities. Apart from internship opportunities in national organizations, the college has already arranged internship placements in different countries including Singapore, Indonesia (Bali), China, India, and the United States. The international internship provides students a complement of knowledge in the chosen field.

What is the trend of job placement of MBA graduates from the college?

The College provides on-campus placement through a college job fair. Our MBA graduates have been regularly recruited in different organizations/corporate houses: MAW, Teach for Nepal, Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd., Unilever Nepal Ltd., and other financial institutions.
Moreover, we have BIC startups, an incubation center established by the college, to foster the entrepreneurial ecosystem. We mentor the aspirants who have a business idea with technical and financial support.

How has the college coped with the present crisis of COVID-19?

Our e-learning platform integrated with Management Information System (MIS) enables the students to learn from anywhere, anytime. With the COVID-19 pandemics, we have also introduced a virtual teaching-learning system to adapt to the new normal in education.
