What should I know about the BBA-BI program?

The BBA-BI, which stands for Bachelor of Business Administration- Banking and Insurance, is a four-year undergraduate program. The program combines the theory of managing finance, human resource, and marketing with a major focus on finance, banking, and insurance. You get a lot of opportunities to apply for learning during industry visits, summer projects, internships, presentations, and case studies.

How is the BBA-BI program different than the BBA program?

The BBA course specializes in marketing and finance whereas the BBA-BI course specializes in banking and insurance. The BBA program prepares students to join at entry-level positions in the fields of marketing, finance, accounting, human resources and information system in a social and business organization.
The BBA-BI program prepares students to join at entry-level in banking, finance, and insurance organizations. Since the students are educated and trained in the conceptual and operational aspects of these sectors, the graduates are better placed to work for such organizations and can prove to be more competent professionals.
Besides these organizations, the graduates have equal chances to work in the functional areas of private or public, domestic, or international organizations.

Who can apply for the BBA-BI program?

Students, who have passed +2 or are expecting to complete +2 with minimum grade “C” in each subject, can apply for the program.

What are the documents required for admission?

The required documents are: Mark Sheet and Certificate of SLC, Intermediate/+2transcript and Certificate, 2 passport-sized photographs, and other required documents which are necessary for the University.

What is the selection procedure for the program?

The selection is done based on an entrance test set by the college and the interview. The
entrance test will have 100 objective questions and an essay writing question. The objective questions evaluate qualitative aptitude, quantitative aptitude, critical reasoning ability, and Business General Awareness.
After you get the required score in the entrance test, you will be called for an interview with your parents/guardians.

Are there any scholarships for the needy students?

The college also provides scholarships on the basis of merit to all the students.

What is the duration and structure of the program?

The BBA-BI program is a four-year full-time program that consists of eight semesters. The
course curriculum has been designed in consultation with our industry partners who are also our knowledge partners. The classroom activities are supplemented by guest lectures by specialists, industrial visits, summer & winter training projects, and assignments. 
Other co‐curricular activities include Boston Fiesta, Boston Endeavor, Sports Week, Acoustic Evening, etc. The aim is to ensure the overall development of the students by building interaction between the students and personnel from various industries.

What are the top recruiting areas of BBA-BI?

The BBA-BI graduates can find respectable jobs in banks, insurance companies, research agencies, health departments, investment companies, educational institutes, property developers, business schools, savings and loan associations, consultancies, shopping malls, etc.

What are the further study options?

After the completion of BBA-BI, graduates can go for all the courses the BBA graduates are eligible to apply.
